After the 4.1 earthquake in SoCal, it not only reported the quake accurately, but all of those little (and not so little) aftershocks. Very impressive! Im recommending this app to all my friends and family. Please keep up the good work!

The app was updated today (02 Jul 2012) and it now syncs with data for the location "NorWest US." The author actually contacted me after posting my review with a possible fix. This tells me he really wants to produce a high quality app. Since he indicated it was being updated, I elected to wait. Now that its fixed, I am very pleased with the app again. There was a small quake this morning on Whidbey Island, WA near me. There it is now in the stream as it should be. My thanks to Danny Goodman. My previous review: Apparently, at the end of last year, there was a change in the Seattle feed. The app now fails to report earthquake activity for the location "NorWest US." I contacted the author and communicated this and he admitted there was a problem. It has now been more than six months and the problem still has not been addressed. It was suggested that I turn on location services to use the "nearby" option. I do not and will not use location services. Frankly, allowing web sites to track my location creeps me out. Its not going to happen. To allow a paid app to malfunction this long without addressing the problem speaks very poorly about it. I would be surprised if there are not other locations with the same problem. This lack of performance speaks for itself.

This is by far the best earthquake app there is. Can you please add customizable Push Notifications by size, locations. Also add Facebook, Twitter, email and Text Message integration. Id like to setup a Push Notification for a 4.0 or greater in the SF Bay Area to automatically send out an email and text msg to family outside of the area. Great way to send notification after the Big One hits us.

I just noticed I was charged for purchasing the app, "I Felt That". What I was attempting to do was to re-boot the app. I had purchased this app a long time ago (I dont recall if it was a free app or not). The original "I Felt That" app that I had purchased a while back had frozen up on me. I could not get it to do anything. I deleted it and reinstalled it. At no time did it ask me if I wanted to purchase it. Like I said, Ive had this app for a long time. I just thought I was re-installing it, not buying it. I only want to say that Im not one of those jerks who try and screw people out of their money, or try to get something for nothing. However, I do wish there had been a warning stating that I was about to buy the app and not just re-boot it. Because I do feel its the best earthquake app out there, I will go on and pay the .99 cents. Thank you..... Wayne Laner

Update: new version is suppose to fix the absent data prob. I cant tell - it crashes as soon as it opens. Shame! Would b complete app if it had notification (iOS Notification and/or text msg). I have locations set for Home, Son, and Daughter - Id like to b notified of any quakes in those locations and not have to do a search of entire US.

I have a ton of apps, but this app gets used daily. I love how well implemented map view is, and that I can take screen shots and send them to my friends or Facebook to support a conversation or ask a friend, "did you feel that?"

Thanks for the updates and time. Love this app. Part of my morning ritual. Its appreciated. Look forward to further enhancements.

This is a fantastic app. It is well designed, and does what it says it will. Being able to check different sections of the country is a big plus, eliminating having to browse through long lists of unwanted info. It works fine on my iPhone 4. I highly recommend this app.

This app updates almost immediately and is extremely easy-to-use. I love it!

This app was working fine for a long time. Now, suddenly today it starts crashing when I open it. I really like this app. Help!

Great color, graphics, features and maps with enough detail to keep you well informed. I would pay double for this app. A true steal.

Used to be my go to earthquake app living in CA but now it just crashes constantly. Sad

Worked brilliantly and flawlessly when first downloaded, but has crashed ever since, every time its launched. Have followed the "fix" instructions in the apps notes, and have even deleted the app and reinstalled it several times -- no luck. Still crashes every time its launched. Useless and frustrating; deleted it and went with another, WORKING app.

Why STILL no notifications!!! How hard would that be??? Seriously?!!

I love this app, it does almost everything I want it to do, the only thing its missing is a radius area where a quake would be felt. iOS doesnt seem to have any that do this. Its the only reason I didnt give this a 5 star rating.

It does crash from time to time but when it works its great.

Danny! Please update this application. There still isnt any other application on the App Store that functions as yours. Please optimize for iOS 8 and new iPhones! -------- Original Review: Theres simply no other earthquake application that compares with this on iOS currently. If you dont believe me, just download this and compare it to the rest. While it does share many features available in other applications, the way theyre implemented is unrivaled. The UI is near perfect in terms of ease and usability. For a while, the developer wasnt doing too great of a job with continuous support, but hes stepped up his game and deserves credit for recent updates! Only two suggestions would be to add push notifications for earthquakes with custom settings and possible color scheme changes to make the UI feel a little more modern for the new iOS 7, that is without changing any of the current functionality. Sorry for the rant, but bottom line is DOWNLOAD this app, its a must!

No longer receives information from USGS - WAS a great app. Now, it just takes up space...
